We’re dedicated to a safe and carefree Internet experience. secure.me helps individuals and business owners control their privacy and reputation on the Internet and on social networks. secure.me also empowers parents to keep their children safe on social networks such as Facebook.

The Internet and social networks have long become an integral part of life. The World Wide Web connects us with people all over the globe and represents a nearly endless source of human interaction, communication and knowledge. But a constant stream of personal information is also flooding the Internet – whether it’s put there by us, by friends, or even by strangers. We believe that individuals should decide for themselves how much privacy they need and how public they want their information to be.

Legislation shouldn’t determine an individual’s privacy, and the privacy settings of specific online services cannot offer a long-term solution either, since they are constantly changing in pace with the market. We are convinced that everyone’s privacy is best protected if each person takes control of his or her own privacy. Parents should do this on behalf of their children. And that’s why we developed secure.me.

secure.me is based on years of experience in search and content-analysis technology we've gathered as an online reputation management pioneer. We founded our company myON-ID Media in 2007. Our offices are based in Munich, Germany, and in San Francisco in the U.S. We have strong partners who share our vision: Our investors include among others T-Venture, the venture capital company of Deutsche Telekom (German Telekom).

Mario Grobholz

CEO and co-founder

Mario is a serial entrepreneur who is enthusiastic about reputation management, social media and creating start-ups. He is one of the world’s online reputation pioneers. Mario built up the online reputation management (ORM) platform myonid.de© in 2006, long before others were even thinking about ORM. He also launched secure.me, the global service for online privacy and reputation protection (in 2009), and iMedia Lounge©, Germany's leading social media content management system (in early 2010).

Mario knows the work in start-ups and international corporations inside out. He has been working in the online business since 1999. Mario held several management positions at Telefonica, the international telecommunications company, at eTF1, France's leading online TV media group and at United Internet AG, the European Internet specialist. Back in the era of the New Economy, he worked for a Munich start-up. Mario studied engineering and business at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich.

Christian Sigl

CTO and co-founder

Christian has a great passion for technology. Besides being an avid user, he is interested in looking at technology from a business perspective and in bringing innovations to market providing a captivating user experience. As myON-ID Media's CTO, he is the driving force behind the strategic product development, including the iMedia Lounge©, Germany‘s leading social media content management system and secure.me, the global service for online privacy and reputation protection. He also has managed several social media projects for worldwide leading brands including corporations such as Siemens or Deutsche Telekom.

Previously, Christian was responsible for the product management and internationalization for start-ups belonging to eTF1, France's leading online TV media group. Prior to that job, he was in charge of the online product management at Telefonica, the international telecommunications company. Earlier, he contributed to several consultancy and research projects focused on new media and technology. He studied business at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
